Everyone views their existence in a backward manner. We are not material beings with a spiritual nature. We are spiritual beings that happen to be in a material body at the moment. The spiritual part of us is our soul. We have all existed from the beginning. We are all a part of God. You, me, Jesus and everyone else are spiritual siblings - God's children. Even though we were all 'born' spiritually at the beginning of time, Jesus is like our older brother - a mentor. He caught on to the workings of the family business a little faster than we have, so he tried to 'show us the ropes' a bit during his material life on earth to help us catch up. What he showed us has, for the most part, been lost, misunderstood or suppressed over time. "Religion 531 - The Master's Course" explores what was suppressed for 1900 years and rediscovered in the last 100 years about what Jesus really taught. It analyzes what is currently mentioned in the Bible in light of this newly found information, revealing entirely new meaning to what Jesus is credited with saying. You will find: God does not judge you - you judge yourself. You are your own moral agent. You reap exactly what you sow - you receive 'good' for what you do correctly and 'bad' for what you do incorrectly. Your 'good' comes to you when you need it most and your 'bad' comes to you when it offers you the best opportunity to learn the lesson you need to learn. You live as many material lives as it takes for you to reap all you have sown. Each life affords you the opportunity to sow more, so learn to sow only 'good'. There are no victims. There are no disasters. There are only people reaping what they have sown. Your hatred of another person is your own shortcomings being reflected back to you. The ONLY thing you can control is your attitude. You will also learn the Christian religion was not started by Jesus. He had nothing to do with its early beliefs, rules or dogma (or current ones, for that matter.) Immediately after Jesus' resurrection, Peter, Paul and James could not agree on what Jesus actually said, or, if they agreed on the words, they could not agree on what they meant. By the time the Gospels were written (approximately 50 years later), major schisms were appearing throughout the early believers. Some believed Jesus said (or meant) He would 'save' them. Others believed He showed the way for each to 'save' themselves. By the 300s CE, there were literally hundreds of 'Christian Churches', each with their own sacred books and differing beliefs. In 325 CE, the Roman Emperor Constantine, who was looking for a way to gain better control over his failing empire, summoned all the Bishops of the disparate 'Christian' churches to Nicea. Approximately 300 Bishops attended. The Council of Bishops turned control of the Church over to the state - the Roman Empire and Constantine for certain 'benefits.' Beliefs, as well as Gospels, letters, prayers and the like were changed to reflect the level of control Constantine demanded for a 'State Religion.' Countless other changes to early Christian beliefs have been made since Constantine and continue to this day.

About the Scribe

The ideas in this book are not mine. To many, they ar e universal truths that predate civilization. To a few, they are heresy.

My education and experience are not yours. You woul d not have learned what I learned from my experiences, as I would not have learned th e same from yours. Such is the beauty of being individual souls. I have a technica l bachelor’s degree, an MBA, and have spent most of my life managing very large soft ware development projects. I have also spent a great deal of my spare time studying r eligion and philosophy. So what? Believing or not believing what is in this book bas ed on my credentials, or lack thereof, is to deny your own ability to think. Your major co ncern should be who you are—not who somebody else is or is not.

While not directly related to religion or philosoph y, the technical degree taught me to be very analytical, and the business administration de gree helped me understand why almost all organizations, “churches” included, evol ve to the point where “truth” becomes supplanted, first with expediency, and later with d ogma that is sometimes honestly felt to best serve the needs of the organization and its “members,” but actually, serves to reduce the organization to far less than its origin al intent.

Forty years of work experience, particularly those with the federal government, coupled with an extensive informal study of many religions, reinforced what I learned in college and illustrated repeatedly how “good intentions” ge t derailed by bureaucracy and dissent.

The “Christian” church, as well as most others, is no exception. It is but a dim shadow of what Jesus taught. That which remains of his ori ginal teaching has been altered, suppressed and deleted by material men (and a few w omen) who chose wealth, power and materiality over the spirituality offered by Je sus. We will explore how this happened and what was lost.

Isn’t it strange that virtually everyone will belie ve you without question if you tell them there are 400,000,000,000 (400 billion) stars in th e Milky Way Galaxy, or if you tell them the Higgs boson (the so-called god particle) h as been found, but every single person will touch the paint you tell them is wet to prove it for themselves!

Unfortunately, when it comes to philosophy and reli gion, we have all had our heads in the stars or our thumb on the subatomic scales when we should be touching the paint. Philosophies do not have to be religions. Religions are not what most people think they are.

This book may help you discover the real you. It ma y not. You may find some of your truth in this book. You may not. Your mind may be o pened a little. It may not. You may waste your time reading this book. You may not. Only you will know.

Everyone is spiritually exactly where they should b e at this moment. No one is in the wrong place. Each of us is on a journey. Each of us is on our own path. Each of us carries our burdens with us. Each of us must comple te our journey ourselves. Our journey is not a race—we have eternity to complete it. There are no shortcuts. As you will see, all paths lead to the same place.

Read this book with an open mind and apply what you learn to whatever your current religion is. Christianity is not what it used to be , nor is it what Christ Jesus intended. Most other major religions have suffered the same p ollution of their founder’s original message. This book describes the universal truth th at used to be the core of all major religions.

You do not have to deny your faith (whatever it is) to learn from this book. All religions have elements of truth in them. This book attempts to identify some of the common threads that are woven through all.

Most religions were never intended to be. They were constructed after the deaths of their “founders,” whose teachings were misunderstoo d or intentionally altered by those who came after.

Identifying and understanding the original “message ” of most religions is a truly life- altering experience. Get your finger ready! You wil l soon be touching your own religion’s paint!
