Séries ES et S Partie Compréhension A. 1) “the driver knows exactly where to go and how to get there”(ll. 2) 2) “it takes years to learn.” (l. 4) B. Réponse 3 C. “they flit around the city on mopeds, learning the streets” (l. 20) “They draw routes with marker pens” (l. 21) D. Brian Nayar has a negative opinion of Uber, which creates unfair competition. “Uber is hurting the industry he loves” (ll. 9‐10) “Uber is undermining an important British tradition dating back to 1865.” (ll. 15‐6) E. Black cabs have been part of the London landscape for decades. Cab drivers are more than just people who take customers from one place to another, they are guides who hold essential knowledge about their city. “Getting into the back of a black taxi is the quintessential London experience.” (l. 1) “I’m also an ambassador for this great city” (l. 27) F1. a) London b) Sydney c) black cab F2. The two protagonists are planning to drive a long distance in an original car. There are lots of uncertain elements, and they seem very unprepared. They will need to improvise in front of difficulties, that’s why the term “adventure” seems appropriate.
